As the old saying goes, "there ain't nothing better in life than true love and homegrown tomatoes". I have true love and our neighbours have homegrown tomatoes :)

# Day 232 I am moving on to Mac!

After years and years of being a PC user, Ashok bought me a new MacPro, and I couldn't be more delighted. The thing is a beauty and feels so precious! And this is my first blog post on my Mac.

# Day 232 Knitted flowers in Jesus Green to raise awareness of sexual violence

My friend, Gillian Greer, was part of this amazing project sponsored by the charity Rape Crisis. The artwork is made from over 1,000 knitted and crocheted Rhapsody clematis flowers and leaves, covering 12 square metres of fencing on Jesus Green. It was intended to raise awareness about sexual violence.

# Day 228 Planting grains during Navratri

During the nine days of celebration that leads to Dusshera, Hindus have a custom of planting foodgrains (usually barley seeds) in a small bed of mud on the first day. The shoots on the 9th day are given to friends, as a blessing from the Goddess. We didn't have barley, so we tried with mustard seeds and turned it into a forest with Kunal's toy animals. We weren't very hopeful given the UK weather, but it turned out not bad. Here is an ariel shot of our jungle.

# Day 227 LEGO is universal!

We painstakingly organised the lego bricks into this sorter-container, and as soon as we finished doing it, we started building again. Something about building lego is so addictive and satisfying.

# Day 226 Chess...

...is not always about winning. Sometimes, it's simply about learning. And so is life.
Shot during the weekend when Kunal was learning how to play.
Ashok let him win, and Kunal was ecstatic.

# Day 225 Can you spot the rainbow?

Yesterday, it was raining with sunny intervals, and we were waiting for the rainbow to show up. We finally spotted it right above the trees!

As part of the city beautification program, the urban poor housing in Telibandha was painted beautiful to serve as a backdrop for the lake.

# Day 231 Under the tree!

In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful.
